Steve Kisakye

Steve is a Co-Founder and Partner at Axum based in Tanzania. His professional experience spans 20 years of work in the private and non-profit sectors across areas such as health, climate change, agriculture, livestock, and youth employment, predominantly supporting governments, development funders, and other partners.

Steve previously served as Partner and Global Managing Director of Dalberg Implement, a business within the Dalberg Group that he co-founded focused on supporting clients by bringing strategy and advisory recommendations to life and getting things done! In this role, he led several multicountry projects, anchored the growth of the business to 7 locations across Africa, and built a team of seasoned program management and delivery experts.

Before Dalberg, Steve worked in the mining sector across Africa for nine years, leading community health and safety programs. Prior to this, he spent four years between the Clinton Foundation (in East and West Africa) and Doctors without Borders. Steve currently serves as a board member for both the Mkapa Foundation and One Acre Fund in Tanzania.
