Salma Ait Hssayene
Salma Ait Hssayene is a senior project manager at Axum, based in London. She works at the intersection of youth employment and digital transformation and is passionate about building initiatives that lead to economic transformation and job creation on the continent.Prior to Axum, Salma was a project manager at Dalberg Advisors, previously based in Senegal and Ethiopia where she specialized in job creation, digital transformation, education, entrepreneurship, and investment, particularly in Africa. She collaborated with Data.org to train 1 million data professionals in the social sector, assisted ECOWAS in developing a regional startup act to promote digital entrepreneurship, and supported the Mastercard Foundation in crafting a pan-African digital economy strategy. She has also worked on initiatives to enhance EdTech adoption with CITL and develop remote learning solutions for African tertiary institutions. Salma has a Master of Public Policy (MPP) at the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of Wooster.
