Gathoni Kang’ethe
Gathoni Kang’ethe is an Associate Consultant at Axum’s Nairobi office, dedicated to driving impactful projects that advance African development. She has contributed to diverse projects spanning the digital, climate, and agriculture sectors, supporting clients from both the private and public sectors. Her work encompasses supporting novel research on AI for Development in Africa, crafting business cases for agricultural expansion in specialized sectors such as aquaculture, as well as facilitating strategic initiatives like regional conference design, and conducting analyses of client activities and investments. Before Axum, Gathoni was a campaign manager and producer at The Africa Perspective (TAP), a magazine and production company with a focus on rewriting the Africa narrative. Outside of this, Gathoni founded and currently manages a project establishing libraries in schools within underprivileged areas in Kenya. Gathoni holds a BA from McGill University in International Development (specialization in Economic Development) and a double minor in Social Entrepreneurship and Communications.
