CJ Fonzi

CJ is the co-founder and COO of Africa Climate Ventures (ACV), an investment vehicle domiciled in Kigali International Financial Center and focused on building and growing a portfolio of businesses that drive climate-positive growth on the continent. Before starting ACV, CJ spent 12 years working on the leadership team of Dalberg, where he founded the firm’s Kigali office in 2017 and led much of the firm’s work in Impact Investing, Agriculture, and Climate.

CJ joined his Partners in co-founding Axum on the belief that it was time for Africa to be home to a top-tier locally and globally focused strategic and implementing firm. CJ remains based in Kigali and continues to advise the Axum team and clients on topics related to Investment, climate, and agriculture.
