Angel Thairo

Angel Thairo is a Communications Associate at Axum, based in Kenya. She specializes in strategic communications, including relationship building, campaign strategy, monitoring and analysis, and content direction and creation across various sectors such as public health, climate action, agriculture, and social inclusion. She also supports culture and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work at the firm.

Before joining Axum, Angel worked at Dalberg Implement as a Communications Program Analyst, managing the organization’s internal communication efforts across social media, website, and newsletter channels. She also served as an external communications consultant to clients, developing and executing communication strategies for multilateral agencies, governments, and organizations such as the African Development Bank and the African Circular Economy Alliance, the International Livestock Research Institute, the Tanzanian Ministry of Livestock and Fisheries, and the Kenya Private Sector Alliance. Angel holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations with a minor in Intercultural Communication from Pepperdine University.
