Julie Awiti

Julie Awiti is a Senior Program Officer specializing in project implementation and resource mobilization for both public and private projects. Prior to joining Axum, Julie was a senior program officer at Dalberg Implement working with the Government of Rwanda and USAID to build the high value agriculture sector in Rwanda by attracting private sector investments. Before that, Julie was an associate within KPMG’s Deal and Strategy Advisory Business Unit in Nairobi where she focused on investment attraction and structuring, more so blended financing of donor funded projects and Government projects, strategy development, mergers and acquisitions (sell side and buy side), debt restructuring, capital raising, financial and commercial due diligence, transaction advisory, market entries and financial modelling. Based in Kigali, Julie currently works with the Government of Rwanda and private sector partners to implement projects aimed at mobilizing investments into Rwanda’s agriculture sector. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Finance from the University of Nairobi, is a certified Public Accountant and currently pursuing the CFA charter.
